The Red maple 'Armstrong' (Acer rubrum) is a columnar small tree that produces orange-coloured flowers arranged in clusters. They appear in April. The Red maple 'Armstrong' also has medium green leaves. Its bark is silver-grey. In a sunny location with lime-free, nutrient-rich, moist to wet, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.
