The Field Maple 'Elsrijk' (Acer campestre) is a conical large shrub or small tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers. They appear in May. The Field Maple 'Elsrijk' also has dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 12 metres and is around 6 metres wide.

Field Maple 'Elsrijk' is a conical growing large shrub or small tree. It usually reaches a height of 6 - 12 m and is approx. 4 - 6 m wide. It usually grows 30 - 40 cm per year.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of the Field Maple 'Elsrijk's are dark green, opposite, lobed. They are about 5 - 8 cm in size. Field Maple 'Elsrijk' turns bright yellow in autumn.

Flower

The greenish-yellow flowers appear in May.

Root

Acer campestre 'Elsrijk' is a heartroot and, depending on the soil, forms finely branched roots.
