The Silver birch 'Crispa' (Betula pendula) is a large, upright tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from March to April. The Silver birch 'Crispa' also has deeply slit, medium green leaves. Its bark is white, rolling. In a sunny location, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 7 metres. The Silver birch 'Crispa' makes no special demands on the soil.

Silver birch 'Crispa' is an upright growing large tree with a loose crown. It usually reaches a height of 10 - 15 m and is approx. 5 - 7 m wide. Rapidly growing. It usually grows 30 - 35 cm per year.

The deciduous leaves of the Silver birch 'Crispa' are medium green, deeply slit, alternate, serrated. They are about 6 - 10 cm in size. Silver birch 'Crispa' is bright yellow in autumn.
