The Dwarf Buckeye (Aesculus parviflora) is a spreading, broad, dense shrub that produces white, panicle-like flowers. These appear from July to August. The Dwarf Buckeye also features pinnate, palmate, medium green leaves. The bronze-colored shoots are also an interesting feature. In a sunny to partially shaded location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, slightly acidic soil, it typically reaches a height of about 5 m and a width of about 7 m.

The Dwarf Buckeye is a spreading, broad, dense shrub. It typically grows to a height of 3 - 5 m and a width of about 5 - 7 m. It usually grows 10 - 15 cm per year.

Leaves

The summer-green leaves of the Dwarf Buckeye are medium green, pinnate, palmate, and opposite. These are about 8 - 20 cm in size. The bronze-colored shoots are also an eye-catching feature. The Dwarf Buckeye displays vibrant yellow foliage in the autumn.

Flowers

The white flowers of the Dwarf Buckeye appear in panicles from July to August.

Roots

Aesculus parviflora is a shallow-rooted plant, forming finely branched roots depending on the soil.

Preferred location in sunny to partially shaded areas.
