Flower Soap – A Unique Soap with Blossoms

Cosmetic products always make great gifts for loved ones. And when they are handmade, they become even more special. Flower soap not only looks beautiful but also smells wonderful.

Flower soap is easy to make and looks stunning with pretty blossoms. All you need are lovely flowers, a mold, soap base, and fragrance oil. The fragrance oil allows you to customize the scent to your liking.

**Beautiful Blossoms All Year Round**

The flowers used in flower soap naturally depend on the season. In spring, hyacinths and daffodils can be beautifully incorporated into the soap—not only do they look lovely, but they also have a naturally delightful fragrance. In summer, lavender is, of course, a classic. However, marigolds also work well in soap and are beneficial for the skin.

In autumn, fall asters, pansies, and small coneflowers make a great addition to the soap. And even in winter, flowers can be found. Fragrant viburnum, mahonia, and daphne offer beautiful blossoms during the cold season, adding a splash of color. For Christmas, scents like cinnamon or orange are particularly fitting.

**Making Flower Soap Yourself**

The list of materials for flower soap is quite manageable, and the process is incredibly simple. While traditional soap-making can be complex, it’s not necessary for creating flower soap. Ready-made soap base is available for purchase, and when made with glycerin, it is especially gentle on the skin.

To highlight the beauty of the flowers, the soap base should be transparent. First, melt a small amount of soap base and pour it into the molds just enough to cover the bottom. Then, press the flowers face-down into the molds. Once the soap base has slightly set, melt another portion and fill the molds to the top with the fresh liquid soap. If desired, you can add a few drops of essential oil for a pleasant fragrance.

Once the flower soap has hardened, it's best to let it set overnight, covered with plastic wrap. If silicone molds were used, the soap can be easily pressed out of the mold. To keep the soap fresh for longer, it should be wrapped in plastic wrap, which helps retain its fragrance. The flower soap can then be packaged and gifted as desired. A small box lined with fabric looks particularly lovely. However, the soap is also wonderful for home use and makes handwashing a delightful experience for both children and adults.
