The Columbine 'Blue Star' (Aquilegia caerulea) is an upright perennial that forms blue-white, bell-shaped flowers from June to September. Its pinnate, lobed leaves are dark green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and is approx. 30 cm wide. The Columbine 'Blue Star' is well tolerant of frost.
