The Long-leaved bear's breech (Acanthus hungaricus) is an upright perennial that forms light pink-coloured flowers arranged in clusters from July to September. Decorative fruits develop from the flowers. Its fingered leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 70 cm. The Long-leaved bear's breech is well tolerant of frost.
