With its medium green leaves, the Sweet flag (Acorus calamus) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges, streams, tubs and ponds. Greenish-yellow flowers appear from June to July. It prefers nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position. The Sweet flag is well tolerant of frost. The upright, runner-forming plant usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm.
