The Barberry 'Verrucandi' (Berberis x frikartii) is a dense, roundish, overhanging shrub with decorative, black fruits. It produces yellow flowers in May. The Barberry 'Verrucandi' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to shady location with well-drained, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2 metres.

Growth

Barberry 'Verrucandi' is a dense, rounded and overhanging shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.5 - 2 m and is approx. 1.5 - 2 m wide. It usually grows 12 - 15 cm per year.
