Calluna vulgaris 'Allegro'

Ling 'Allegro' is a bushy and densely growing dwarf shrub that can reach a height of 40 - 60 cm and a width of 10 - 30 cm. Slow-growing.

The evergreen leaves of the Ling 'Allegro' are dark green, needle-shaped and opposite. They are about 0.1 - 0.3 cm in size.

The purple-red, bell-shaped flowers of the Ling 'Allegro' appear in clusters from August to September.

Finely branched.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Ling 'Allegro' has good frost hardiness.

Calluna vulgaris 'Allegro' thrives on all acidic, sandy, peaty and boggy soils.

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

If watered less frequently but thoroughly and thoroughly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This enables the plant to survive dry periods better.
