The Golden Indian bean tree 'Aurea' (Catalpa bignonioides) is a roundish tree or small tree that produces creamy white flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from June to July. The Golden Indian bean tree 'Aurea' also has heart-shaped, greenish-yellow leaves. The golden-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to a width of around 8 metres.
