The Blue spiraea 'Kew Blue' (Caryopteris clandonensis) is an upright small shrub that produces dark blue flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from July to September. The Blue spiraea 'Kew Blue' also has matt, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 50 cm wide.

Growth

Blue spiraea 'Kew Blue' is an upright growing small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 60 - 80 cm and is approx. 40 - 50 cm wide. It usually grows 15 - 60 cm per year.

Shoots

The shoots of Caryopteris clandonensis 'Kew Blue' are tomentose.

Leaves

The deciduous leaves of the Blue spiraea 'Kew Blue' are dark green, lanceolate, matt, opposite. They are about 5 - 8 cm in size.

Flower

The dark blue flowers appear from July to September. They are pleasantly fragrant.
