Caryopteris clandonensis 'Heavenly Blue'

Blue spiraea 'Heavenly Blue' is an upright and compact small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 0.8 - 1 m and is approx. 40 - 60 cm wide. It usually grows 15 - 60 cm per year.

The shoots of Caryopteris clandonensis 'Heavenly Blue' are tomentose.

The deciduous leaves of the Blue spiraea 'Heavenly Blue' are dark green, lanceolate, matt, opposite. They are about 5 - 8 cm in size.

The dark blue flowers appear from August to October. They are pleasantly fragrant.

Few branches.

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Blue spiraea 'Heavenly Blue' has good frost hardiness.

The plant has a medium water requirement.

Cut back boldly in spring so that the plant grows compactly.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
