From these, normally in September, come brown, pod shaped fruits, that last for a very long time. They give off a strongly scented scent. The orange yellow shoots are also very beautiful. Its bark is light brown and torn like a net. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, loose, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of about 15 m and grows about 8 m wide.
