The Glaucous Michaelmas daisy 'Calliope' (Aster laevis) is an upright, loose, branched perennial that produces blue, basket-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from September to November. Its lanceolate leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.4 m and grows to a width of approx. 60 cm. The Glaucous Michaelmas daisy 'Calliope' is well tolerant of frost.
