With its medium green leaf colouring, Mace sedge (Carex grayi) is a decorative design element in the garden, but with its upright growth it also adorns containers on balconies or terraces. The green flower fronds adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with loose, well-drained soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and grows up to 40 cm wide.
