The Silk Tree (Albizia julibrissin) is a rounded garden plant that produces pink flowers with a pleasant fragrance. These appear from June to August. Additionally, the Silk Tree features feathery, medium green leaves. In autumn, the foliage turns an attractive yellow-green. In a sunny, wind-protected location with well-drained soil, it typically reaches a height of about 6 m and spreads to about 6 m wide.

Growth

The Silk Tree has a rounded growth habit. It typically grows 30–40 cm per year.

Leaves

The summer-green leaves of the Silk Tree are medium green and feathery. In autumn, the foliage turns a bright yellow-green.

Flowers

The pink flowers appear from June to August and are pleasantly fragrant.

Location

Preferred location in sunny, wind-protected areas.

Frost Resistance

The Silk Tree has good frost resistance.
