With its colourful white leaves, Sedge 'Icedance' (Carex morrowii) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also adorns containers on balconies or terraces with its upright, clump-forming growth. The brown flower fronds adorn this grass from spring onwards. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with a well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and grows up to 40 cm wide.

Clump-forming, upright.

Leaves

High leaf ornamental value. The wintergreen leaves of Sedge 'Icedance' are white-coloured, linear, with entire margins.

Flower

The brown flowers appear from April to May.

Location

Preferred location in semi-shady to shady position.

Frost hardiness

The Sedge 'Icedance' has good frost hardiness.

Standard container plant soil.
Normal soil.

Use

Tub, solitary, group planting, rose garden

Water

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.
